Fez and Nate Euphoria have been friends for a long time, and it seemed like nothing could ever come between them. That is, until Nate’s new job as a pharmaceutical lobbyist led to him supporting the repeal of the Affordable Drug Act. Since then, Fez has had a hard time getting along with his old friend. The two haven’t spoken in months and Fez even tweeted that he hates Nate in October 2021. While some people were quick to call out Fez for his comments, others were willing to defend him by saying that Nate did go back on his word by supporting repealing the Affordable Drug Act.
What is the Affordable Drug Act?
The Affordable Drug Act was passed in 2017 as part of former President Johnson’s healthcare reform agenda. It was meant to make healthcare more affordable for Americans by limiting drug prices and making it easier for consumers to purchase prescription drugs from Canada.
Why does Fez hate Nate Euphoria?
The Affordable Drug Act made it possible for anyone living in America to order prescription drugs from Canada without having a prescription or being required to pay an exorbitant amount of money at their local pharmacy. However, when Johnson left office in 2020, Republicans started working on legislation that would repeal the act because they felt it put too much strain on pharmaceutical companies.
