Snoop Dogg says he has quit smoking weed after his family pleaded with him to stop.
Snoop Dogg has revealed that he’s given up smoking weed after his family begged him to. The rapper, who is also known as Snoop Lion, made the announcement during a radio interview on Sirius XM in the US. He told host Sway Calloway: “I’m completely off the weed. I’m not smoking it no more. I’ve been through this struggle for 20 years now and I decided it was time for me to just be a good example to my kids and my family and my friends and my fans. So I decided not to smoke no more.”
He added: “It ain’t easy but I done did it…it was one of them things where [my wife] was telling me you know, ‘You got kids now, you got all these people around you, look at what they doing.’ And then she said ‘You need to be an example’. So then she just kept saying that over and over again until one day…I woke up.”
“It wasn’t easy but it’s like anything else,” he continued. “When you want something bad enough you can do it.”
