Kennedi was in the bottom three on April 1, 2019, but was saved by the judges.

American Idol contestant Kennedi Price is a 16-year-old from Philadelphia who says she wants to pursue a career in music. She was eliminated from the show on April 1, 2019 after being in the bottom three of that week’s voting. Before she auditioned for American Idol, Kennedi had already been working as a backup dancer for several artists including Beyoncé and Jay-Z. However, her time on American Idol wasn’t all smooth sailing.

During her first performance on American Idol, Kennedi forgot her lyrics and ended up tripping over herself. It was an embarrassing moment for both Kennedi and judge Luke Bryan, who turned around to see what happened and then had to pretend like nothing had happened when he realized it was his contestant who had fallen.

Kennedi also struggled with stage fright during her second performance. She told judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie that she didn’t want to sing “I Have Nothing” because it made her nervous. The judges encouraged her to perform anyway because they felt like it would be good practice for future performances.
