Jacques was the second contestant to leave Love Island. He left the villa on Day 15 after failing to couple up with anyone else in the villa. His departure followed that of new girl Ellie, who left after failing to couple up with any of the boys.
Jacques’ departure came as a shock to viewers, as he had seemed so confident and at ease in the villa since his arrival. However, there were several signs that pointed towards Jacques’ eventual exit from Love Island.
Why did Jacques leave Love Island?
“I think I just wasn’t feeling it for anyone.”
Jacques entered Love Island looking for love and quickly became a fan favourite. However, it soon became clear that he was struggling to find someone who he connected with in the villa. On Day 10, he confessed that he didn’t feel any chemistry with anyone in particular, saying: “I think I just wasn’t feeling it for anyone.”
“It’s a shame but I have got no regrets whatsoever.”
Although Jacques left the villa single-handed, he said that there were no hard feelings towards his fellow contestants and that his time on Love Island had been “an amazing experience”. He said: “It’s a shame but I have got no regrets whatsoever.”
