Users of the music streaming service Spotify have been getting logged out of their accounts in recent weeks, prompting concerns that hackers are attempting to gain access to people’s personal information. The issue appears to be affecting a large number of users, with thousands taking to Twitter and Reddit to complain about the issue. According to one Twitter user, the login issues have been going on for around two weeks now. Spotify has yet to confirm what is causing the problem.
One person has taken to Reddit in an attempt to figure out what is going on with their account. The user says that they were able to log back into their account by resetting their password through email, but this was only temporary as they were then locked out again a few hours later. “I’ve been getting logged out every few hours for over a week now,” said another user on Reddit.
The problem appears not just limited to logging in from different devices either. Another Reddit user posted that they had tried logging into Spotify through multiple browsers and even deleting cookies and cache files but still couldn’t get back into their account.
