Why are Stanley cups so popular Why do we have Leap Year

The Buffalo Bills were originally called the Bisons, but changed their name to the Bills in 1959.

The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in Orchard Park, New York. The team competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The Bills are the only NFL team that plays its home games in New York state. The franchise was founded as an original franchise of the American Football League (AFL) in 1960 and joined the NFL as part of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970.

The name “Bills” is derived from a nickname for Buffalo given by former New York Giants player Jim Lee Howell during his playing days at Niagara University. Back then, it was known as “the city of churches” because of its numerous churches, which is why he chose to call his new team “the Bisons” after their home city. However, since there was already a professional baseball team called the Bisons, he changed it to “the Bills” when they joined the AFL. The Bills have never had another name since joining up with other teams to form today’s NFL.
