The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) is the main body that represents professional golfers. It was founded in 1916 and has since grown to over 28,000 members worldwide. The PGA has two main objectives: to promote and protect the interests of its members, and to grow interest in golf. However, in recent years, membership has been dropping off at an alarming rate.

Why are Golfers leaving the PGA?

The number of professional golfers who are part of the PGA has been declining for several years now. In fact, there were over 30,000 members just a decade ago but that number is now down to less than 25,000. This decline can be attributed to a few different factors including a lack of support from players and a lack of interest from sponsors.
