Canadian truckers are protesting the federal government’s carbon tax.

As of October 27th, Canadian truckers have been on strike in protest of the federal government’s carbon tax. The strike began on October 24th and will continue until November 1st, although it’s unclear how many truckers are participating. The protest is being organized by Unifor, a Canadian trade union that represents over 300,000 workers across the country. The group claims that the federal government’s carbon tax is forcing up costs for trucking companies and their drivers.

The strike began in Alberta and has since spread to other provinces like Ontario and Quebec. Unifor has said that its members will continue to picket as long as they have to in order to force the government to repeal its carbon tax. As of now, there are no signs that this is going to happen.
