What has Tommy Dorfman been up to lately?

On October 26th 2018, Netflix released season 2 of their hit series 13 Reasons Why. In this season we saw some familiar faces return such as Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker), Christian Navarro (Tony Padilla) and Alisha Boe (Jessica Davis). However one face that we were not expecting to see again was that of Ryan Shaver played by none other than Tommy Dorfman himself.

In episode 7 titled ‘There’s No Place Like Homecoming’, we see that after being suspended from school for smoking weed with Bryce Walker at prom night, Ryan is back at Liberty High School where he approaches Clay Jensen while he’s walking down the hallway after class one day.

“I’m sorry,” says Ryan apologetically.”I don’t want you mad at me.” Clay looks surprised by this apology but tells him “It’s okay” before walking away.

“It’s not okay,” says Ryan sadly.

“What do you want me to say?” asks Clay looking confused.

“I don’t know,” replies Ryan sadly.

“You can’t just apologize like that,” says Clay before adding “you have to explain why.”

“I’m sorry I left you alone with Bryce Walker,” says Ryan looking down ashamedly.”He drugged me.””Why didn’t you tell anyone?” asks Clay confused by this revelation.

“Because I thought I could handle it myself,” replies Ryan defensively.”And because I didn’t want everyone thinking I’m gay.””So why are you telling me now?” asks Clay.
