Why is Sami Chokri a Jihadi?
Sami Chokri, who was born in France to Tunisian parents, was arrested on October 27th and charged with terrorism offences after he allegedly planned to carry out an attack in Paris. The 21-year-old was arrested at the Auber train station in Paris, before being charged with “criminal association linked to a terrorist enterprise” and “incitement to commit terrorist acts through an online communication medium”. He has been detained by French authorities and will appear before a judge on November 1st.
Sami Chokri was born in France but has Tunisian parents. He has been linked to the Islamic State group and its propaganda arm, Amaq Agency. The Jihadi reportedly told investigators that he had been in contact with the group for several months via Telegram Messenger.
