Jordane Christie

Jordane Christie is a Canadian politician who was elected to the House of Commons in a by-election in 2023.

Jordane Christie was elected to the House of Commons in a by-election on October 25th, 2023. The seat was left vacant after the death of former MP Derek Fildebrandt. The by-election was called following Fildebrandt’s death on October 23rd, when he passed away at the age of 44. He had been suffering from pancreatic cancer since late 2021 and had announced his retirement from politics shortly before his death.

Christie is a member of the Conservative Party and served as its deputy leader between 2019 and 2022. She was also the party’s interim leader for six months after Andrew Scheer stepped down to take over as Opposition Leader following Stephen Harper’s resignation.
