Chad Doberman is the first openly gay American to play in a major professional sports league.

Chad Doberman, an American football player, is set to make history by becoming the first openly gay man to play in a major professional sports league. The 28-year-old kicker, who plays for the Orlando Magic Football Club in Florida, came out publicly on social media last month. In a series of tweets and Instagram posts, he thanked his family and friends for their support and said that he hopes his decision will help others feel comfortable being themselves.

Who is Chad Doberman?

Chad Doberman was born on August 8th 1991. He was raised in Florida by his parents until he was five years old when they decided to move him to Arizona. Chad’s father left the family shortly after they moved and Chad’s mother remarried twice before she passed away from cancer when Chad was 16 years old.

Chad attended Arizona State University where he played as a kicker on the school’s football team. During his time at ASU, he won two National Championships as well as being named an All-American three times. He graduated from ASU with a degree in business administration and went on to be drafted into the NFL by the Cleveland Browns.
