The film was set to tell the story of actor Matt Damon’s rise from obscurity, but it appears that Disney has decided that audiences wouldn’t be able to handle a story about someone becoming successful. Despite being cancelled, the film had already generated significant controversy and even death threats against Matt Damon.

Matt Damon: Origin Story, directed by Clint Eastwood, tells the story of actor Matt Damon’s rise from obscurity in 2019 all the way up until his success in 2023. The movie was scheduled for release on October 27th, 2021, but this will no longer happen.
